end of the road

What did you like about the class?
I like how there is extra credit and how the work load isnt that heavy, and still very interesting and enjoyable - especially they projects. The blogs were fun too.
What was your favorite activity or project?
the stranger paper and the sensory perception fair
What didn't you like about the class?
I dont like how the notes we go over in class arent reflective of the tests, because you have to read the book the truly know whats on a test, instead of just paying attention in class. The notecards too arent that necessary.
What do you think I should leave out next year?
the notecards, and tests that arent over the notes you give
Do you have any suggestions or ideas for things I could do next semester in Psych?
do more projects that allow the students to apply what they learn to life, as oppossed to alot of tests and quizes and such. psychology could be a more hands on class to where the students learn from observation and such, as oppossed to just reading things.

If I grabbed the handrail when I first step onto the escalator and did not let go until I was at the top, my body would be almost prostrate across the steps. cell phones

I think it is disgusting when people are addicted to their cell phones. I can't believe people who will leave their house and be like 10 minutes away and go back just to get their phone. To pay $500 a month for a cell phone bill is ridiculous, because a person's life should not be that dependent on a technological device. Although texting is convenient, it should also not consume someones life, to the point that people will be communicating via texting as oppossed to talking, which is essential in life. Phones, are also more than just a means of communication. While the entertainment features are nice and appealing, the price and sometimes the way it works is not that ideal. I'm glad that I am not addicted to my phone. People always complain that my phone is dead, but thats because I am not rushing to charge it to talk to anyone. Being dependent on a cell phone is not healthy.

I usually do not remember my dreams, however I remember a few. Once I dreamed that these people broke into my house and they were like chasing us around and I shot them with my brother's B.B. gun. I just remember like seeing them through my window and then seeing them in my house, and then trying to shut the door on them, etc. just like in a really bad scary movie, only no one died, and they left. I dont remember being scared in my dream though, I just liked the thrill of the chase.

I'm indifferet about hypnosis, but I did not feel anything after watching this video. I believe that hypnosis can actually happen, but the level of degree that the people are hypnotized under varies. Like, sometimes I believe people can play it up, and arent really that hypnotized.

optical illusions

This picture was really cool because after staring at the moving circle, and then looking at the statues, it looks like the statue is moving in sort of a waterfall way. So, as a result of the moving cirlce, looking at the stationary statue directly afterward makes it look like the statue is moving too.

I really like this one alot becuase I see the girl's face first but then it is obvious that there is a musician as well. I like how both can easily be seen, and how the two pictures are seperate but complete each other.
